Project Demolition SIC Refresher 2023

Course Overview

The Safety Induction Course (SIC) is a mandatory site HSSE requirement for all personnel working in Shell Bukom. It supplements the AWSHPP/SWSHPP course, in providing information relating to the site's specific safe work requirements. Participants are required to complete an assessment of 30 questions at the end of the course and the passing requirement is 90% (27 out of 30).

 

Note: This course IS NOT a replacement to the AWSHPP/SWSHPP course which is mandatory under the Workplace Safety and Health (Factories, Safety Training Courses order - clause 2 (6)).

Who Should Attend

All personnel who are working in Shell Bukom and have previously attended the SIC are required to attend this SIC Refresher once every 3 years.

Course Learning Outcome

At the end of the course, you should be able to:

  • Understand the HSSE Policy and Golden Rules set by Shell and every individual's responsibilities
  • Understand and comply with Bukom's rules and regulations *Specifically on Health, Safety, Security and Environment
  • Understand and apply the tools used in Bukom for Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment
  • Understand and apply the use of standard PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required on site
  • Take safety precautions when working with different hazards
  • Respond in case of fire or emergency



Pre-requisites

You are recommended to complete the Apply or Supervise WSH in Process Plants (AWSHPP/SWSHPP) or higher before attempting this course.
